Welcome to Away at the Bay! A new build, 4 bedroom house right on the Chesapeake Bay. Very family friendly, and in walking distance to a small community beach. The amenities and thoughtful touches are unmatched. Enjoy kayaking, biking, and crabbing on Kent Island right out of your front door. Perfect for multiple families (especially with younger kids), or working from home with a view! 15 minutes off the Bay Bridge and easy access to wedding venues, groceries stores, outlet shopping, outdoor activities, and great day trips to Annapolis and other eastern shore gems. Welcome aboard the "Belle of the Bay" aka Belle! We've been running charters the past 2 summers, but this is our first one aboard this beautiful Judge Chesapeake 36. Offering 3 distinct trips that fit any need:
- Happy Hour cruise: 5 PM. Under the Bay Bridge & around the Thomas Shoal Lighthouse
- Sunset cruise: 7 PM. Under the Bay Bridge & around the Thomas Shoal Lighthouse
- 5 hour custom boat days:
- Cruise up the Chester River to quant Chestertown
- Cruise down the Bay to St. Michael's and walk downtown
- A day in the sun: Anchor at Lowe's Wharf for some relaxing in a tube on the water

Hi! We are Eric & Ryan. Almost 20 years ago, we met on the lakes of Algonquin Park in Canada on a college trip. Throughout the years, we kept getting pulled to the Chesapeake Bay - a beautiful meeting place between the ocean and mountains of Maryland. We traveled all around Kent Island looking for the perfect spot: and then we came across Bay Drive. In October 2019, we made it official by buying the land and the rest is history. This spot has already offered us so many amazing times as a family with our young twins and crazy dog, Hank, and we absolutely love sharing this home and our guests making memories of a lifetime here. We also fell in love with boating as a family in 2020, and haven't looked back since! You'll catch us on the water whenever we can, and so we started our charter business to get people out to explore the bay, too!
